Many national parks provide tourists with breathtaking opportunities to witness amazing collections of elephants, leopards and other species such as grasslands, forests, rivers waterfalls forests caves dating back centuries tall trees – the country offers it all.
When arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport, an agent from SS Ceylon Tours will meet and transport your luggage directly to Negombo. Spend your evening strolling along its gorgeous sandy beach before enjoying a delectable dinner before relaxing over one night's stay there.
Breakfast at your hotel and then begin an excursion to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, situated on 25-acre coconut farms with beautiful walkways through which canopies cover. Don't be alarmed when toddler elephants enjoy bottles or play freely around you as these gentle giants don't pose any threats; when finished with Pinnawala you will be transported Anuradhapura for dinner before staying overnight there.
Breakfast early morning, then tour of Sigiriya Rock Palace /Sigiriya Rock Fortress located near Kandy in Sri Lanka, home of remains from an older kingdom that once resided here. Later enjoy swimming pool time or trekking through trails for glimpses into typical Sri Lankan village life customs such as elephant-watching forest cruise or bullock cart ride in Kandy. Explore Kandy town by going on excursions toward The Temple of the Tooth Relic before making your way towards Nuwara Eliya for dinner and an overnight stay there.
Tea Factory and Plantations Take an unforgettable train journey once you have settled into your hotel in Nuwara Eliya to visit a factory or production facility that produces tea - followed by an enjoyable train journey through Sri Lanka's mountains adorned with lush vegetation and cool high altitude air, before dining al fresco on one of Nuwara Eliya's terraces later that evening!
The day takes you along one of Sri Lanka's most picturesque routes - Horton Plains with stops at World's End and Baker's Falls - followed by lunch in Nuwara Eliya before spending another peaceful night there.
After breakfast, head for Ravana Ella Cave as well as Falls or head directly for Yala National Park where evening and afternoon drives allow you to see various species of wildlife before relaxing with meals at Yala Thissamaharama for dinner in the evening.
After your late game drive of the day, depart Yala and head toward Mirissa for your stilt fishing village experience. When you check into your hotel and relax at the beach for the rest of the day. Discover more about local fishermen using stilt fishing techniques - they specialize in this technique here - then stay and dine here in Mirissa later that evening.
City Tour/Shopping Plan an half-day excursion that features Galle Fort, which is part of UNESCO World Heritage site with Dutch, Portuguese and British influences.
